OSCARS 2021: 10 υποψηφιότητες το MANK, η περίπτωση της Glenn Close και ένας Έλληνας στο μοντάζ.
Τίποτα δεν σταματάει την Αμερικανική Ακαδημία Κινηματογράφου, ούτε και η πανδημία φυσικά! Οι υποψηφιότητες για την 93η Απονομή των βραβείων Oscar που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 25 Απριλίου, ανακοινώθηκαν μέσω live streaming δια στόματος Priyanka Chopra Jonas και Nick Jonas. Την οσκαρική κούρσα οδηγεί η ταινία MANK του David Fincher με 10 υποψηφιότητες και ακολουθούν οι ταινίες THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7 και NOMADLAND με 6 υποψηφιότητες, καθώς και τα MINARI, SOUND OF METAL, THE FATHER, JUDAS AND THE BACK MESSIAH με 6 υποψηφιότητες . Στις ευχάριστες εκπλήξεις η παρουσία του Τόμας Βιντερμπεργκ στην κατηγορία της σκηνοθεσίας για το ”Another Round”, ενώ αίσθηση προκάλεσε η απουσία του MANK στην κατηγορία του σεναρίου. Mαζί επίσης και η παράδοξη υπόθεση της Glenn Close που πήρε υποψηφιότητα στην κατηγορία του β’ γυναικείου ρόλου ενώ είναι και υποψήφια για Χρυσό Βατόμουρο για τον ίδιο ρόλο στην ταινία HILLBILLY ELEGY, κάνοντας έτσι την τρίτη ηθοποιό μόλις στην ιστορία που πετυχαίνει αυτή την ιδιαιτερότητα μετά τον James Coco και την Amy Irving. Υποψήφιος στην κατηγορία του Μοντάζ και ο Έλληνας Γιώργος Λαμπρινός για το THE FATHER.
